Resumen
Revisión bibliográfica a través de la cual analizaremos la evolución de las reglas de catalogación desde las reglas tradicionales hasta los Requisitos Funcionales de los Registros Bibliográficos (FRBR) y Resource Description Access (RDA), usando para estas dos últimas reglas los manuales en los que se desarrollan. A continuación, realizaremos una comparativa entre RDA y las reglas actuales (Reglas de Catalogación Angloamericanas o AACR y las Reglas de Catalogación Españolas) y veremos cómo afecta esta nueva norma a los campos del formato MARC21. Por último, a través del Report and Recommendations of the U.S. RDA Test Coordinating Committee, realizado por la Library of Congress en colaboración con comunidades no bibliotecarias y la encuesta realizada a través del European RDA Interest Group (EURIG), podremos analizar en qué punto se encuentra la implantación de RDA a nivel internacional y cuáles son los problemas que plantea la implantación de la nueva norma en las bibliotecas del mundo.
Abstract
Bibliographic review through which we analyze the evolution of cataloging rules from traditional rules to the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) and Resource Description and Access (RDA), using for the latter two rules manuals which developed. Then we will make a comparison between RDA and the current rules (AngloAmerican Cataloging Rules or AACR and Spanish Cataloging Rules) and see how this new rule affects the fields of MARC21 format. Finally, through the Report and Recommendations of the U.S. RDA Test Coordinating Committee, conducted by the Library of Congress in partnership with communities and non-library survey conducted through the European RDA Interest Group (EURIG), we analyze the international situation of the RDA’s implementation and what the problems posed by the implementation of the new standard in the libraries around the world.
