Resumen
Web 2.0 es un término utilizado para designar un conjunto de servicios web en los que el usuario tiene gran importancia. A raíz de este término surgen las herramientas 2.0, las cuales facilitan el compartir información y permiten a los usuarios participar de manera activa y crear nuevos contenidos en la web. Las bibliotecas 2.0 son aquellas que integran las tecnologías y actitudes de la web 2.0 en los servicios y colecciones de la misma, con el fin de ofrecer servicios nuevos y mejorados. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es conocer el uso que se hace en las Bibliotecas Universitarias andaluzas de las herramientas 2.0, a la vez que se realiza una comparación entre las Bibliotecas Universitarias de Granada y las de las demás provincias andaluzas. Los objetivos específicos se centran en conocer aspectos relacionados con el tipo de herramientas utilizadas, el propósito, el grado de capacitación y formación del personal, el tiempo que dedican a ellas, el momento en el que empezaron a utilizarse y la importancia que tienen su estudio e integración en las Bibliotecas Universitarias. Para ello se diseñó un cuestionario que se envió a 68 bibliotecarios de todas las Bibliotecas Universitarias de Andalucía, en el mes de julio de 2016. Se obtuvieron respuestas de 52 bibliotecarios, de las cuales 3 no utilizaban las herramientas 2.0. Por tanto, los resultados revelan que el 94,23% de las Bibliotecas Universitarias andaluzas analizadas utiliza alguna herramienta 2.0. Entre las más utilizadas se encuentran las redes sociales, las plataformas E-learning y los gestores bibliográficos 2.0. Los motivos principales de uso de estas herramientas son la comunicación con los usuarios y la difusión de servicios, noticias, eventos y novedades relacionadas con la biblioteca. Aunque los bibliotecarios creen estar capacitados para utilizar adecuadamente las herramientas 2.0, afirman necesitar más formación. En la mayor parte de las bibliotecas analizadas se utilizan las herramientas 2.0 durante 2 horas o menos al día y empezaron a utilizarse entre los años 2011 y 2013. En conclusión, las Bibliotecas Universitarias andaluzas consideran que las herramientas 2.0 son un instrumento útil para su trabajo, y la gran mayoría hacen uso de ellas y consideran importante el estudio y la implantación de las mismas en las Bibliotecas Universitarias.
Abstract
Web 2.0 is a term used to designate a combination of web services in which the user has great importance. Due to this term, the 2.0 tools appear, which facilitate sharing information and allow users to participate actively and create new web contents. Libraries 2.0 are those that integrate technologies and attitudes from the web 2.0 in their services and collections, with the purpose of offering new and better services. The main objective of this work is identifying the use of the 2.0 tools in the Andalusian’s University Libraries, comparing at the same time the libraries from the Universities of Granada with the Universities from the rest of the Andalusian provinces. The specific aims are focused in identifying aspects associated with the kind of tools that are used, the purpose, the degree in training of personnel, the amount of time dedicated to those, the moment in which they started being used and the importance in their study and integration in the university’s libraries. A questionnaire was created for this, which was sent to 68 librarians from all Andalusian’s University Libraries in July 2016. 52 librarians sent back their answers, of which 3 of them didn’t use the 2.0 tools. Thus, the results disclose that 94.23% of Andalusian University libraries analysed use some of the 2.0 tools. Amongst the most used ones, we can find social networks, E-learning platforms and reference managers. The main reasons for the use of these tools are the communication with users and the spreading of services, events and news concerning the library. Even though librarians believe they are prepared to adequately use the 2.0 tools, they admit they need more training. In most of the analysed libraries, the 2.0 tools are used during 2 or less hours every day, and they started being used between 2011 and 2013. In conclusion, the Andalusian university libraries consider that the 2.0 tools are a useful device for their jobs, and the majority use them and consider it important the study and implementation of them in the university libraries.
