Resumen
El presente trabajo trata de establecer una relación entre el cómic y la galaxia audiovisual y su consideración como medio audiovisual. Pretende analizar las teorías expuestas por especialistas en la materia con el fin de establecer una hipótesis que permita su revisión e incorporación a los medios audiovisuales. Para ello se han considerado diversas disciplinas como los estudios de la Intermedialidad y las Adaptaciones, los Estudios Culturales y la Filología, así como la utilización de novelas gráficas de interés. El corpus escogido es la adaptación de las novelas gráficas From Hell, y Whatchmen del autor Alan Moore al medio cinematográfico. El estudio concluye que el cómic es un medio integrado en el sistema audiovisual, destaca la necesidad de revisar su papel y dotarlo de la importancia que merece dentro de los estudios audiovisuales, considera las aportaciones que el medio ofrece a sus sistemas más cercanos donde los viejos y nuevos medios convergen dentro de la galaxia audiovisual.
Abstract
This work tries to establish a relationship between the comic and the audiovisual galaxy and its consideration as and audiovisual medium. It tries to analyze the theories presented by specialists in the field in order to establish an hypothesis that allows their revision and incorporation into audiovisual media. To this and several disciplines have been considered, such as Intermedial studies and The Adaptations, Cultural Studies and Philology as well as the use of graphic novels of interest. The chosen corpus is the adaptation of the graphic novels From Hell, and Whatchmen by the author Alan Moore to the cinematographic medium. The study concludes that the comic is an integrated medium in the audiovisual system, highlights the need to review its role and give the importance it deserves within audiovisual studies, considering, the contributions that the medium offers to its closest systems where old and new media converge the audiovisual galaxy.
