Resumen
Este trabajo de fin de grado propone estudiar y experimentar los géneros musicales postmodernos y el género del videoclip a través de sus principales estéticas, desde que se originó en la década de los 80. Para ello, estudiaremos cómo ha evolucionado la industria de la música, dando origen a los géneros musicales de la postmodernidad y cambiando por completo el modo en el que se realiza una composición musical, analizaremos las distintas etapas estéticas y técnicas por las que el videoclip ha pasado desde su creación, veremos cómo ha evolucionado plasmando la música y cultura de cada época, y lo completaremos poniendo en práctica todo lo aprendido durante el grado y la elaboración del trabajo mediante la creación de una canción y videoclip, en los que se mezclarán los orígenes con la actualidad. El trabajo contará, pues, con un bloque teórico de contextualización histórica y de estudio de la industria musical y el videoclip: cómo se originaron, cómo evolucionaron, qué funcionalidades tienen, etc. Y, además, se desarrollará un bloque práctico en el que se detallará el proceso de planificación, creación y promoción de una canción y un videoclip, que nos cuestionarán si es posible que estemos más cerca de las distopías ficcionales de los 80 de lo que creemos, y que aunarán las estéticas y técnicas estudiadas a lo largo del TFG.
Abstract
This final degree project aims to study and experience postmodern music genres and the videoclip genre through its main aesthetics, since it was born in the 80s. To do this, we will study how the music industry has evolved, giving rise to the musical genres of postmodernity and completely changing the way in which a musical composition is made, we will analyze the different aesthetic and technical stages that the videoclip has gone through since its creation, we will see how it has evolved, capturing music and culture of each era, and we will complete it by putting into practice everything learned during the grade and the elaboration of the work through the creation of a song and videoclip, in which the origins will be mixed with the present. Therefore, the work will have a theoretical block of historical contextualization and study of the music industry and the videoclip: how they originated, how they evolved, what functionalities they have, etc. And, in addition, a practical block will be developed detailing the process of planning, creating and promoting a song and a videoclip, that will ask us if we may be closer to the fictional dystopias of the 80s than we think, and which will combine the aesthetics and techniques studied throughout the final degree project.
