Resumen
Este trabajo aborda un repaso a la historia del cine en España, desde sus comienzos hasta la actualidad, centrándonos en el trabajo realizado por mujeres cineastas. Se pretende demostrar la injusticia que supone la escasez de mujeres en este campo y para ello se aportarán estadísticas que corroboran los hechos y análisis de algunas de las películas dirigidas por mujeres. Asimismo se tratarán cuestiones como la diferencia entre cine de mujeres y cine feminista. En definitiva, el objetivo último del trabajo es contribuir al proceso de visibilización de lo que en ocasiones es invisible.
Abstract
This paper offers an immersive look back at the cinema in Spain’s history, from its inception to the present, focusing on the women filmmakers’ work. It is intended to demonstrate the injustice of the lack of women in this field. With this purpose, statistics corroborating the facts will be provided, as well as analysis of some of the films directed by women. Issues such as the difference between “women's cinema” and “feminist cinema” will also be discussed. The ultimate objective of the work is to contribute to the visibility of what is sometimes invisible.
